Yes 5% for one sibling, 10% for two or more. Siblings must be joining the same season. Please contact info@chicagorecsports.com for discount details and registration steps.

An additional jersey can be purchased. Sizes may be limited.

Jerseys are highly recommended for each practice/game session.

All players should have their CRS Jersey, a water bottle, athletic shoes and athletic gear.

Yes, children in our youth programs from grades 5th to 8th grade can be dropped off for class. We ask that we are notified either when dropping the child off and informing their coach, or prior to class via an email to info@chicagorecsports.com

Can my child switch classes if they don’t like the sport?2022-10-18T14:27:40+00:00

Yes, additional fees may apply based on alternative class selected.

How long is each season and each individual class?2022-10-18T14:27:16+00:00

In general each season is 8 weeks with the exception of the Winter season and some early child development classes, which could be 6 weeks. In general each class is 60 minutes with the exception of early child development classes, which are typically 45 minutes.

How often are sports programs offered?2022-10-18T14:26:54+00:00

CRS offers 5 seasons each calendar year: Spring: April and May; Summer: mid June to mid August; Fall: September and October; Fall II: November and December and Winter : mid Jan to mid March.

Do you have anything for my child who is high school?2022-10-18T14:26:34+00:00

High school age children beginning at age 14 can apply to become a member of the Teens Earning and Leading program. T.E.A.Ls serve as coach mentors and help run Chicago Rec Sports programs.

Can my child play up/down a grade?2022-10-18T14:26:08+00:00

Our curriculum is age based. Parents that feel their child is capable of playing within an older age group or based on their skill set need to play within a younger age group are welcome to do so. Administration will need to be contacted at info@chicagorecsports.com to assist with registration.

All programs are co-ed unless otherwise specified.

All Chicago Rec Sports programs are designed as an introduction to the sport. Many CRS players are also trying programs for the first time. We welcome beginners to try any of our multiple sport options.

How do you put your leagues and divisions together?2022-10-18T14:25:07+00:00

Players are placed in groups based on grades. (1st and 2nd grade; 3rd and 4th grade; 5th and 6th grade; 7th and 8th grade)

What happens if we move during a season and are unable to participate?2022-10-18T14:31:32+00:00

If a player relocates to a distance greater than 50 miles from the Chicago Rec Sports main office a prorated refund will be provided.

How does the refund policy work?2022-10-18T14:30:48+00:00

You are eligible for a full refund prior to the start of any season. Once the season starts, only credits will be able to be applied to your LeagueApps account as applicable. All credit request outcomes are at the discretion of the Chicago Rec Sports upon review.

What happens if class is canceled?2022-10-18T14:30:31+00:00

In the case of programs canceled due to weather, we will send out an email at least one hour before your scheduled start time. There will be no refunds or credits granted for any programming postponed or cancelled due to weather, forfeits, acts of God or world events.​

What happens if my child gets hurt and can’t play?2022-10-18T14:30:03+00:00

Written injury or illness refund requests must include a doctors note. Refund request outcomes are at the discretion of the Chicago Rec Sports.

What happens if my child misses a class?2022-10-18T14:29:22+00:00

There are no penalties for missing a class, we ask that we are informed (contact their coach directly or email info@chicagorecsports.com) if your child will be out an extended amount of time.
